Since I discovered that I could travel, I’ve tried not to stop. The first time I left my home, my family immigrated to Austin, Texas. Then I convinced a Texas A&M civil engineering professor to take me along on a water and sanitation project trip to Dominican Republic – and haven’t stopped saying yes to any chance to see new places.
As a global citizen wannabe, I’ve lived many lives. I have a passion to eat and learn from cultures that are different from mine. Sometimes I’m the only black person, sometimes I’m the tallest person around. All of the time, I’m ready to be amazed by how similar we all are from Indonesia to Texas. Most recently, I’m practicing being a farmer, a goatherder, a travel entrepreneur and a public health professional in a tiny 50-person village in the mountains of Spain.
In my spare time, I’m also the Villainous Mother of the Multi-verse according to Marvel.
